~One Mans Dream~
In memory of Ronald Mowl
In the late 1960's, Ron established a small family business known as the Hess Country Store. Located in Hess Marland, people came and got all there daily needs. He provided everything from groceries, pit beef, seafood, deli products, gas and alcohol. With the support from his family and local community, the store flourished and before to long people from all around came to love and take advantage of an honest, fair and hardworking establishment that lasted for many years.
In the summer of 1999, the Hess Country Store had to close due to uncontrollable circumstances but was a blessing in disguise. Ron took his liquor license and relocated to White Hall, Maryland and established his new business. The Hess Country Spirits, which we now know became a reality. Today his family and community continue with his dream, providing people from all around the best prices and service they have come to expect and deserve. Ron might not be with us anymore but his dream will continue for many years to come for everyone to enjoy.
